Clean the throttle body with a spray throttle body cleaner.
Your cabel, the one that is conected to your throttle may needed to be looked at.
If the gas pedal is sticking on a 1980 Chevy, it is possible that the cable is wearing out. Check for slack in the cable. There could also be dirt on the pedal itself that is causing it to stick.

One of the main causes of feeling a vibration in the gas pedal is engine vibration. The vibration from the engine causes the accelerator cable or linkage to vibrate and the vibration can be felt in the gas pedal. Check with a mechanic to be sure.
