if is model with computers etc,most probable cause is the cam positioning sensor
If you cannot see a leak on the ground under the truck (and you should with this much oil) it sounds like the piston rings are pretty well worn out.
starter solenoid is on the inside of the fender twards the cab from the battery follow the positive battery cable at the end will be the solenoid
If the 360 is in a F100 the point gap is .021. If the 360 is in a F250 or bigger the point gap is .017.

The only SUVs with such a rating were the Excursion (which as built on an F250 chassis), and the Hummer H1 (which could tow, it didn't do so well towing at highway speeds). Honestly, if you're looking to tow this kind of weight, a 3/4 ton pickup is much more adequate.

How long since last tune-up and compression check? Fouled plugs or dirty valve seats (even a burnt vavle) will cause misfire and lack of acceleration (power).
i'm getting 16mpg at 65mph and about 14.5 at 80mph hwy. I don't have any programmers hooked up or anything special to the engine done. I drive a 2007 f250 4x4 with 130k miles on it
In-town driving you can expect from 13-15 mpg and highway driving 18-21.

Mine is 10 - 14 MPG. 10 is around town, 14 is highway. Not quite as good when I am running studded snows. BTW, 4WD Supercab
