Uneven tire wear with spots is usually caused by bad shock absorbers or struts. If the car or truck bounces too much while driving down the road it makes bald spots on the tires.
Poor tire alignment will cause wearing on the inside edges of rear and even front tires.

uneven wear could be one of a couple of things. The tire pressure could be too high or too low. The rear alignment could be off. Or if the tires were rotated and the front end was out of alignment, then the wear will continue even though the tire is now on the rear.

The 195 refers to millimeters (mm) and is the width of the tire across the treads. The 55 is also in millimeters(mm) and refers to the height if the tire from the edge of the rim(wheel) to the top of the tire. And finally, the 15 refers to inches (in) and refers to the diameter of the wheel that the tire fits to and the inside diameter of the tire.
