Sounds like maybe you need to check your oil.... it may be empty. If it is you'll want to add a quart or two before you drive to the repair shop. Your engine will seize without oil and there is no way to repair that other than to replace the engine.

That clicking noise you hear when you press and release the brake pedal is the "Shift Lock Solenoid" engaging and disengageing. The shift lock solenoid is located below the center console directly underneath the gear shift lever. That sound is normal.

If this is a general noise, it could be the transaxle. When you are accelerating, the engine is pushing the gears, and when you let go of the pedal, the vehicle starts to shift back down. If this is an engine noise, it could be predetonation or a valve problem.
Check your catalytic converter.

One of the main causes of feeling a vibration in the gas pedal is engine vibration. The vibration from the engine causes the accelerator cable or linkage to vibrate and the vibration can be felt in the gas pedal. Check with a mechanic to be sure.
