You should have someone pull off the hubs and check your bearings to see if they need to be replaced or just repacked

Reverse pitch propellers allow the propeller blades to rotates to an angle that produced thrust in the opposite direction direction of flight. This allows propeller driven aircraft to stop faster than they would with braking alone.

Several malfunctioning parts on a 2004 Tahoe can cause it to make noise when put in reverse. The transmission fluid should be check to see if there are any pieces of metal in the fluid. The transmission should be taken to be properly diagnosed to avoid the need of expensive repairs.

When a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass makes a loud, moaning noise in reverse it is possible that the reverse gear in the transmission is getting ready to go out. The braking system should be looked at too, because of the vibration.

Nothing. NaCl creates a reverse reaction to H2O.

Reverse thrust- similar in a sense to similar use on ships and rr equipment, is used for braking purposes and backing up=on the ground. no conventional aircraft (Blimps helicopters and some stol-like things and VTOL excepted) can fly backward.

"Regenerative braking", or generating power from the braking motion, is often found in electric and hybrid electric cars. Essentially what is done is to "reverse" the motor leads (usually done by the computer controller) to change the motor into a generator. The generated power is then used to charge the batteries or shunted to ground through a resistor. The load of generating electricity causes the braking effect, not unlike taking your foot off the accelerator in a manual-transmission vehicle.
