To remove the speaker grille on a 2003 Volvo S60, gently squeeze on the grille. Hold the hand as close to the side as possible and squeeze. It is put in the same way as it is taken out.
Volvo uses the Volvo Navigation System (VNS) that was developed by Volvo. You can read about it at http://www.volvocars.com/us/sales-services/sales/soundandnavigation/volvonavigationsystems/pages/default.aspx
It's programmed into the engine ECM. You need the software and appropriate connection box (as well as the ECM password) to get into the system and change the parameters.
I don't know how to de-activate the entire system, but disconnecting the speaker (so that the alarm is silent) is easy. Just lift the hood and identify the speaker(s) near the back (they're kind of tuba-shaped on my '97), then find the plug very near them and disconnect it.
what wires on a Volvo s60 2.4 turbo air mass flow sensor (4-wires) would use to install a performance chip
how do you reset the alarm system service light on a 2001 volvo s80
You take off the panel that covers the speaker. Then you pull out the speaker. Then you reach in and turn the socket of the bulb and it will come out. When you take them out I always put a mark on which side was facing me so it is easier to put it back in. It can be a pain but you should be able to do it.
The style of plug is a 9004. I just replaced one in my 91 Volvo 240. The connector was about 5 bucks at the parts store. Make sure you splice the red black and blue wires in correctly!

It's a black box 17x7x6 cm with Volvo part number 3533004 located behind the dash board close to the steering. If you need one I have one. Gustavssons@hotmail.com

Evap System. Large leak.
Volvo says "Volvo coolant"....I say pentosin pentofrost nf. It's the blue stuff. Not lifetime coolant, but can safely be kept in the system for a couple of years.
It actually mean Antilock Brake System not automatic braking system
dex-cool Dex-cool is anitfreeze which goes in the radiator and cooling system. As for Freon which goes in the air conditioning system, the 97 Volvo uses R134A Freon.
Replace the radiator
To replace the rear brakes on a Volvo 850 you must first remove the old brakes. Then connect all of the wirings to the new brakes including the brake fluid line and the connection for the brake pads.
