The Starter is beneth the intake manifold, in order to remove the starter, you have to remove the intake manifold, also the gas injectors and wiring. There are two rires one red big coming from BAT and one small yellow or brown this is protected with black tape, the tow wires are by the front uper right of the engine to benith the intake manifold.
The starter is located in fromt of the car on the bottom. Follow the red wire from the battery.

in the v6 it's in the wiring harness above the right valve cover. In the others its in the wire at the starter battery connection and there is one other model that has it at the battery end of the wire that goes to the starter.
If the vehicle is a Front Wheel Drive vehicle, the starter will be located in the front lower part of the engine. Just look for a large black wire that is attached to the motor and just follow the wire and it will lead you directly to the starter motor. Good Luck.
