Coconuts are grown mostly in the tropics. Grenada in the Caribbean has an abundance of coconuts. Coconuts grow in Brazil, the Philippines, Hawaii, Malaysia, south America, Florida, California, New Zealand, Polynesia, Southern Asia. The coconut palm grows on sandy soil and can stand against the amount of salt in the soil. It prefers areas with a lot sunlight and regular rainfall. Coconuts also need high humidity for it to grow.
Nowadays they can be found in all parts of the world with a tropical climate. (A tropical climate is defined as a non-arid climate in which all twelve months have mean temperatures above 64.4 °F / 18.0 °C).
You have spelt country wrong. Coconuts don't just come from one country, they come from lots of countries. In Britain, where I live we have 100% no coconuts, because coconuts grow in hot, tropical climates like the Caribbean. Britain doesn't have that climate at all. Coconuts can grow in Australia which I know because once on Wikianswers I asked do coconuts grow in Australia, I got an answer, saying, "Yes, they are quite common around the coastal areas of far northern Australia". Australia most certainly is not the only country in the world that grows coconuts.
