If your engine is blowing blue smoke your engine is burning oil.
If the smoke is present on acceleration, the piston rings are bad.
If smoke is present on deceleration, then the valve guide seals are bad.

I'll describe you what is happening when I'm trying to start it after rain. Starter turns..but engine won't come on. I think water is coming somehow to the system - because when I'm pushing a gas pedal while starting the engine sometimes knocks couple of times and a lot of white smoke is coming from the exhaust..then it suddenly stops. White smoke from the exhaust pipe indicates that the engine is allowing water into the cylinders. The water then boils in the cylinder and exits the engine as steam (white smoke). This could be be from the inlet manifold (especially if the engine is a V), it could be a head gasket (leak between the water jacket & the cylinder). Or worst it could be a cracked cylinder head. Or, you're burning oil and you need an oil change.
