What could be wrong with a 1988 Nissan Pathfinder that keeps blowing fuel pump fuses occasionally starting and running for awhile then sets overnite and repeats process?

I have a 95 pathfinder and had the same problem with fuel pump fuses blowing. It turned out to be that the fuel sending unit had to be replaced. . Try cleaning the six contacts on top of the sender unit make sure they are isolated

Cairo is hot and humid (primarily) or hot and dry (occasionally) depending on which way the winds are blowing.

I had the same problem with my 95 pathfinder, fix by checking all of the connections on the wiring harness that run by the rear bumper to the fuel pump on top of the gas tank. Mine were salty and dirty.

Is is blowing hot air on the drivers side, or nothing at all? If it is blowing hot air even though you have the thermostat set on cold - it could be the heat actuator. It will occasionally do this after about 75000 miles or so. Mine started at 114000 miles and if you turn it off and turn it back on - it will start blowing cold again...$400 repair. Hope this helps.

You know the wind is blowing, when you see it blowing leaves of trees, blowing papers on streets or by using a windsock.
