If your blazer has a LED 3rd brake light and does not work with power at the connector, the brake light is defective and is not serviceable. Had the same problem with my 2002 Blazer. Ohming out plug showed third light bad. Pulled the grommet where the wires go thru car frame and noticed the wires "stretch" which means a break in the wires where they go into the rubber grommet. The wires are too tight in the grommet so I sliced half way thu the rubber to reveal the black and yellow wires. pulled enough wire thru to splice and solder. I stagered the cut, spliced the wires, soldered and used silicone rubber to cover the wires. dried 24 hours then put the rubber grommet back into the hole. works fine. Seems that the opening and closing of the back hatch weakens the wires. Hope this helps. Ron
It could be low on brake fluid, a sign of trouble. Have the brakes checked SOON!
On a 1998 Chevy Blazer, the parking brake switch is located on the top of the parking brake assembly. There are 3 bolts that hold the switch to the parking brake assembly.
That's what I am asking you. How do you replace a parking brake handle on an S-10 1996 Chevy Blazer?
Directly above the brake pedal.
The transmission fluid on a Chevy Blazer can be checked by idling the engine and allowing it to reach operating temperature. The dip stick can then be removed and checked based on the markings provided.
you can find the switch on the back of the brake pedal.
you most likely need to change them
you say alot of prayers!
Have you checked the fuses for the wipers? It may be that simple.

I the Blazer will run then the timing can be checked with a timing light. If not, the there are timing marks on the timing gears that will have to be checked to see if the timing jumped.
