Passlock sensor (Ignition housing) Or body control module fault
There are 3 different things that can cause the security lights to flash constantly on a 2002 Saturn Vue. These things are a bad passlock sensor in the ignition housing, a bad BCM, or a bad PCM.
Most likely cause is a faulty "driver" in the Body Control Module Very common problem for these cars Must be changed and programmed by the dealer About 400 Canadian if out of warranty

Maby short in harness along rocker panels or on trunk......take trim loose turn on dash and tail lights and start jiggling harness wires. Moisture can cause problems like this as well.....

There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.

If all are out then its either the fuse (under the hood) or the switch (on the pedal assembly). If its just 1 side check the bulb.
Either the sensor is not working properly or you have enough motion such as trees swaying, etc. to cause the sensors to constantly activate the lights.
