The USSR is the most famous comunist country, and was the most feared country of the United States, Britain, and many other Democratic countrys. The Soviet Union had a major affect on the outcome of WWII, and were the ones who scared Hitler into commiting suicide. They also sent the first probe into space, the first man, the first probe on the Moon and on Mars. They were also in other conflicts like the Korean War and the Vietnamese War, as well as most famously, the Cold War, although no real fighting happend then. It less than 70 years, the Soviet Union became (next to the US) the worlds biggest superpower.
