He delivered KFC to all the delegates and he made lots of money due to this. his nickname was forever more, "Chicken Checker McGee". he was the oldest delegate to the constitutional convention and he had to be moved around in a bed with a Ferrari engine attached to it. He will be missed.

He served as what was called then an "elder stateman" giving occasional wise advice. On the last day of the convention, his endorsement of what many considered to be a flawed Constituion may well have swung the balance in favor to pass it.

Very little, simply because he was quite infirm at the time. He was the wise, old gentleman who gave sage advice.

His speech at the end may have convinced a few doubters that the constitution, as written, was as good as it was going to get.
