To my knowledge, "George Washington", our 1st President, had nothing at all to do with peanuts. However, "George Washington Carver", a black scientist of the first order, conducted many innovative research studies into the chemical makeup of peanuts; from his findings he was able to discover many new uses for that legume....Cosmetology advanced greatly under his research, as did the actual production of the mighty peanut. Mr. Carver even made use of their shells.
