Islam does prescribe some diet restrictions. But those restrictions are on the type of meat allowed to be eaten. Forbidden are flesh of swine, dead animals, blood, animals that met their end drowning, or in a fall, animals that have been partly devoured etc
Islam does not restrict anything beyond these on any particular days including the days of fasting and days of celebration
They eat all kinds of food that is allowed to eat and they forbid themselves from eating what is forbidden to eat. Refer to question below.
What any particular Muslim will eat at a celebration comes down more to his ethnic background than his being Muslim. Of course, no pious Muslim is going to celebrate his brother's birthday with pork tenderloin, but Muslims from Arab countries, Muslims from South Asia, Muslims from Southeast Asia, Muslims from Southeastern Europe, and Muslims from Sub-Saharan Africa all eat very different things.
The only holiday that comes to mind as having a particular food associated with it is Eid Al-Adha, in which most Muslim families will slaughter a lamb and proceed to feast on it as a group. This lamb commemorates Abraham's slaughter of a ram instead of his son Ishmael when he was originally tested by God.

The Muslims generally eat spaggaties on Eid-ul-Fitr, and sacrificial meat/beaf on Eid-ul-Azha. Anyhow, they may eat anything as usual. Nothing is obligatory.
