The removal of the parking brake pads requires more time and is a bit more difficult to replace. I would inspect the parking brake pads before removal and replace them only if needed.

I assume you are replacing brake pads? To remove the calipers you need to loosen the bleed valves on the top or back of the caliper (they look like a bolt with a hole in them and usually have a rubber cap). Next you compress the caliper with a C clamp and then tighten the bleed valve. Now remove the two bolts from the back (inside) of the caliper and it should fall off in your hand.

You have to make sure the parking brake is not on. then unbolt the torque member that that the caliper is attached to. the bolt head faces down towards the ground. you can't see it of you're looking down at the caliper, you have to look at it from underneath. you'l l see the 14mm bolt you have to unscrew which will disconnect the caliper. You also have to un hook the parking brake cable from the spring that's attached to the caliper. Then you can loosen the the bolts that screw into the slider pins. you should be able to slide the caliper off. and then you can unbolt the caliper mounting bracket that attaches to the axle behind the plate. On these vehicles its an entire bearing hub assembly.I just recently did this on my wifes 2002 rendezvous and it wasnt as bad as i thought.Jack up the vehicle remove the wheel.Remove the break caliper bolts and swing the caliper off to the side.Then remove the two bolts that hold on the bracket that the caliper bolts to.Next remove the center axle nut. Then look on the back where the axle goes through the hub,you will see three bolts in a triangular pattern remove the bolts un plug the ABS sensors and and pull the entire wheel hub assembly.The whole process took me about 2 hours.
