The difference is a sensor network may be connected using wires or wirelessly, a wireless sensor network is always connected wirelessly.

I'M NOT A MECHANIC but if I'm reading the engine wiring schematic correctly, the orange wires connected to the oxygen sensor(s) , connect to a gray/red wire which ties in the oxygen sensors to the DPFE sensor ( differential pressure feedback EGR sensor) which in turn is connected to the PCM (powertrain control module)

Map sensor is a small black box on the bulkhead below the windscreen. It has a vaccum pipe connected to the inlet manifold and 3 wires connected with a multiplug.
