Bones can weaken, and muscels will begin to weaken and deteriorate. A person who sufferes from an eating disorder can have very dry, falky skin, and hair problems. Such hair probelms include thinning, dullness, weakness, hair becoming brittle / likely to breakage, and hair loss. More severe cases of eating disorders can cause organ damage, malfunction, and potenetially even organ failure, especially to the heart, kidneys, liver, and lungs.

I suffered with this from when I was 13-15 Then I developed anorexia & am in recovery 2nd time round now If you are referring to binge eating as a type of bulimia then it has masses of health problems attatched Making yourself sick can strip away all the enamel on your teeth, give you a puffed up face, stomach ulcers, poor hair/skin etc.. But the big one is that you could potentially rip your eosophagos & cough up blood/chokje on your own vomit If you mean binge eating in terms of going hours without food & then eating a lot in one sitting, this makes you much more prone to gain weight than if you eat steadily throughout the day It slows down your metabolism big time as your body is in constant starvation mode & so hangs on to more of the food you eat when you do & stores it as fat Everybody needs to eat no matter what size or shape they are, else they get ill - fact so I've been taught to eat something every 3 hours or thereabouts as this is best for your metabolism & your body gets used to the fact it's going to be fed & isn't in starvation mode anymore this may not work for everyone but it definitely does for me!! hope this helps & i havnt gone overboard, aha

Should you see a doctor about your binge eating disorder?

Eating disorders, such as binge eating disorder, have the potential to do harm to your body. If you feel your eating disorder is out of control, it is appropriate to see a doctor, specifically a psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of eating disorders. This is important because while binge eating disorder itself does not pose the risk of grievous harm to the body other than weight gain, it is often caused by the more serious problem of anxiety or depression. Also, binge eating disorder can quickly escalate to bulimia, which is very harmful to the body and can result in death. However, if you are not comfortable with seeing a medical professional for your binge eating disorder, there are some support groups both online and in community centers that can help you overcome your eating disorder. This is a viable option if you have strong motivation to end your eating disorder, if your eating disorder is not overly out of control, and you have the personal strength to better yourself.
