I've lived in Southern California all of my life and the most common story of the origin of the word Azusa is that it's an abbreviation for "Everything From A to Z in the USA".To the best of my knowledge it is neither a Spanish or Indian word and was simply an attractive phrase concocted for a small city that wanted to attact homebuyers and businesses at its conception.Added: I think that 'A to Z in the USA' is a wives tale/myth.
