You prbly just have a bad fuse so the best thing to do is just change it. Its quick and easy

The abs light wll come on if there is a fault with your abs system. It does not necessarily mean you have serious problems, although at some point it might be. Since you have one abs sensor on each wheel it could be that one of them went bad, another thing is your abs pump or that you got air in the brake lines. Hope this helps.

Why are the abs park brake lights on in 2001 Mazda Protege?
this could mean a variety of things. the manual says if both the ABS light and the parking brake light are on at the same time to pull over (if driving) and tow it to a dealership. it is normal for both lights to come on when starting the car and then go off after a few seconds. I have the same problem with my 2002 protege but i have not had it looked at but with the information I've gathered from reading various forums is that it could be just about anything with the braking system. if the ABS light is on then you your ABS system is turned off. it could be a problem with the ABS control module, air in the lines, leak in the braking system, etc.. etc.. i had a caliper that was leaking and i since replaced it my ABS and parking brake light do not come on 100% of the time anymore like they used to, however, they still come on intermittenly. so i wonder if the error codes need to be reset? in any case you should have a dealership look at the problem, they will be able to read the error codes from the computer and should be able to narrow the problem down. i don't recommend driving the car with both ABS and parking brake light on.

Honestly ,to me if it wont start, then it is a power problem! because of Pontiac's alternators and being that the car is almost 10 yrs old you should have that checked!!

You could have air in your break line. First try dissconnecting the battery so it clears out any miss-reads in the computer. Then if the light comes back on then you may need to bleed your brakes.

You should go to a shop that has and ABS scanner to determine problem. May be wheel sensor or control module ...Alternatively, there may simply be air in the ABS module. If you've opened up the hydraulic lines (say, to replace a brake caliper), then the ABS module has to be purged, or the light stays on. Just open the purge port (not the bleeder valve) on the ABS unit and use the pressure side of a hand-operated vacuum pump (NOT shop air!!) to pressurize the purge port. DON'T use the vacuum side of the pump. Add brake fluid as needed during this process. Do NOT overpressurize. Just use the bleeder valve and hand pump to purge the ABS unit until no more bubbles come out of the bleeder, just brake fluid.

The "buzzing" is the motors in the accumulator attempting to pressurize the hydraulic system. After about a minute, it will time out and the ABS light on the dash will light. The problem is that trapped air prevents the system from operating properly; you'll still have brakes, but no ABS.
