all he wants to do is be able to have a conversation with you without getting cursed out. he dosent want to be let back in (as far as i know), he just wants to establish some relationship so u can talk like u probably used to...
i am 13 now, and my ex boyfriend Dennis were perfect. then we got into a big fight three months later. even guidance in school had us come in and talk to each other, but we ended up getting into a fight.LITTERALLY! so we werent supposed to talk to each other. then he texted me all this crap. and i didnt talk to him for a while. but now on the bus he will sometimes talk to me randomly when im mad at him on the phone and in person.
...so my advise to you is if he was like Dennis, all he wants is too have some connection with you where he can actually say hi to you and not get a dirty look. just small talk, and take it from there , and see how it goes.
...but should he start saying anything that makes you uncomfortable or upset like Dennis did, then do not respond to him. hope this helps. sorry its a lot to read, im new at this... :)

This probably means that he's still slightly hung up on you, due to the question im guessing that your were friends before you went out ? Though I guess that may not be true. If he was, a lot of guys can't cope with break ups, that's why guys just kinda fade into the background. They also don't quite get the point if you tell them to leave you alone, they just keep coming, guys want what they can't have. If you truly hate him, don't answer his texts, and ignore him if he ever says hi, waves to you, or tries to talk, it may seem cold, but it gets the job done. If you don't hate him, explain to him exactly why you broke up, and that you still want to be friends, it could carry on as a friendship, though hardly any things that develop into relationships do turn out ok if you split.
