I would take my car into the shop and make sure that the wheels are not out of alignment. Something else could be wrong, but I would not be driving it until it gets fixed. Be safe:) Tires,, the most common cause is tires that are out of balance. Other causes can be worn tie-rod ends, worn struts and front end alignment.
Have the front rotors turned on a lathe at a dealership. check brakes and rotors
That is typically a wheel balance problem.
It may be from tires being worn unevenly and off balance or the front end is out of alignment.
Normally this is caused by one or more of the tires out of balance. If the steering wheel is shaking then you know it is a front tire. Have all your tires rotated and balanced.
Tire out of balance, bent wheel, loose or worn suspension or steering parts.
If the bent rim is mounted on the front you would feel the steering wheel and front end shimmy or shake depending on the severity of the bend and speed of the vehicle. If the bent rim is mounted on the rear you would feel the vehicle shaking but not in the steering wheel.
You most likely need to tires for the front of your car. You should replace your tires as soon as possible.
Ive recently discovered very bad shaking (wobbling) in both front tires of my 87 chvey 4x4 when at 30-40 mph speeds ...I had a driver get in front of me to see what was shaking and turns out both front wheels wobbled back and forth like the driver was sharply turning the wheel........Now i no why......after welding the frame, changing the steering box, and replacing the tie-rod ends, i have discovered that its the lower ball joint.........i have also discovered if you cannot figure out what is causing shaking in your vehicle go to GOOGLE AND TYPE IN "DEATH WOBBLE" that is what many 4x4's have any vehicle and have it and it will shake you very bad at certain speeds and will run you off the road...so check that to see if you vehilce has any symptoms ...good luck
The TIE ROD on your Saturn connects the rack and pinion assembly to the wheel assembly, enabling you to steer the car.A worn tie rod will result in loose steering, excessive shaking of the front wheels, erratic steering and poor steering control.
Tires out of balance. WHEEL bent, The steering shock may be worn out.
The first and easiest thing to check would be have the front wheels checked for balance, if doesn't fix problem well need to have the ball joints, tie rods ends, steering linkage checked.
look for play in the swivels and wheel bearings and at the busses - steering damper shot
