The dark blue Blue - Represents vigilance, loyalty, perseverance & justice which was trigger of depressive emotions by slaves leading them into learning the languages they know.

The light blue- Represents the serene beaches.

The red- for the blood that was shed and the authority of the law, amongst Montserratian(s), Note**This you may observe see from the "badge" or "shield" emblem on the flag which represents "roots".

The white- stands for peace, streams- & clouds and the protecting of their brotherly tribesmen located in the Shamrock of the lesser and also those Greater Antilles.

The green- Represents the Mountains, Forest, Flora, Fauna and agriculture
