I just turned 13, I'm a little bit faster than average and I got 6.35. But the 40m sprint is completely irrelevent to 100m cause I got 15.72 in the 100m and my friend (who got 6.39 in the 40m) got 14.96. So the 40m sprint is just about accelaration not speed.
Interval training is quite effective to develop Anaerobic Capacity. Working over a distance of maybe 60/80m with a active rest (walking) of 20seconds is a good place to start. To make it harder, increase the distance of the sprints and decrease the rest period. Pyramid training will also help. *Sprint 20m have a 10 second break *Sprint 40m have a 15 second break *Sprint 60m have a 15 second break *Sprint 80m have a 20 second break *Sprint 60m *Sprint 40m *Sprint 20m
At a fitness test over 40m for WRU he recorded 4.3 seconds
To calculate the volume of a rectangular prism, you multiply the length, width, and height. 40m × 40m × 60m = 96, 000 m3.
it really depends on what component of fitness say you wanted to measure a clients aerobic fitness you could use the beep test, if you wanted to measure a clients anaerobic fitness you could get a 40m stretch and get an average time and go by that. if you wanted to measure ab strength there is a sit-up test where the person tries to complete as many sit-ups as possible in a minute. there is the push-up test where the person completes as many push-ups as possible until exhaustion without stopping there are other more extensive Vo2 tests which ill give you a link to. www.topendsports.com/testing/tests

1600, equal 40m*40m
0.0254 m = 1 in (exactly) → 40m = 40 ÷ 0.0254 in ≈ 1574.8 in
The World Record is 5.56seconds held by Donovan Bailey of Canada. He ran this in 1996.
