Salty foods such as bottled and canned sauces and gravy, canned meats and fish, canned soups and dry soup mixes, processed meats such as luncheon meats, bacon, ham and sausage, peanut butter, baking mixes such as bread,pancake and muffin mixes, and snack foods such as potato chips and crackers; also bouillon cubes, seasonings and powdered sauces in packages
Fatty foods such as organ meats (liver, kidney), non-lean meats, poultry skin and processed meats (bologna, Hot Dogs, bacon, sausage and lunch meat), lard, butter, whole milk and other whole-fat dairy products (cheese and ice cream), margarine or shortening containing trans fats, coconut and palm oil. Hepatitis C patients also should go easy on baked goods that tend to be high in fat, and fried fast food, (french fries, burgers)
Alcohol - alcohol or foods containing alcohol are toxic to the liver
