There were a lot more than just four countries making up the "Allies" during WW2, it was closer to 60 or more. Possibly the greatest contributions in manpower and material were made by Great Britain right from the beginning in 1939, and the USSR and the USA from 1941.

Germany was not divided after WW1. Some of its land was under dispute or captured was given back to their original country.

It was World War 2 that divided Germany after their surrender. The four major Allies who took control of Germany was USA, France, Great Britain and Russia. Three of them allowed the Germans some freedom but Russia wanted to punish the Germans. Russia ruled over their portion and it became East Germany. The other parts controlled by USA, France and GB became West Germany.

Who are Germany's allies today?

Germany NowYou ask the question as if Germany were still at war in 2005. I find that very odd. Germany is a member of NATO and of the European Union, so it has plenty of allies and trading partners. There is some anti-German feeling in many countries, and especially among some younger (!) people in Europe.their closest allies are France, the United kingdom and the United States of America. their enemy that i know of is Afghanistan -2009
