The 1997 Ford Expedition owners manual shows that fuse # 1 in the junction box ( interior fuse panel ) is a 15 amp fuse for the stop / turn lamps

On a 1996 Ford Bronco the turn signal flasher is plugged in to the fuse box
According to the 2002 Excursion Owner's Guide, it should be a 20A fuse in fuse location #18.
Fuse #7 is the turn signal circuit. 10 AMP. 2nd fuse fron the left in the 2nd row from the top.
