If you are only running your wipers you are likely safe with a 14 or 16. You should check the capacity of the fusing to be certain.

94 roadmaster wiper fuse blowing yes I have replaced the motor then the module?

If the fuse keeps blowing then there is a short somewhere in the wiring. The best thing to do is recheck the wiring on the wiper motor, switches, and relays.

How do you diagnose a non-working front wiper motor on 1998 landrover 90?

Fuse box is best place to start... Past that, check the wiring hasn't broken between the fuse holder and the wiper motor. Get yourself a good volt meter and check that the motor is drawing current - if not, then the motor is blown. If the motor is okay, then it may be the wiper drive - not sure what it's called, but there is a long shaft with a screw pattern on it that the wipers attach to... it may have been stripped..

How hard is it to change windshield wiper motor on a dodge caravan?

To change the wiper motor I find its best to remove the wiper box; 1) Disconnect Negave Battery Cable 2) Uncover wiper arm nuts, and remove wipers. 3) Open hood and disconnect wiper motor connector behind battery 4) Disconnect washer hose (above drive belts) and clamp or plug. 5) Disconnect wiper box drain hoses (left and right) 6) Remove wiper box strainer lid. Torx screws across, and the 1/4 turn clamps at left and right that look like Phillips screws. 7) Remove wiper box hangers, nuts on studs at base of windshield, and in wiper box. 8) remove wiper box mounting screws (through rear of wiper box into body metal). 9) Remove wiper box from vehicle. NOTE POSITION OF WIPER LINKAGE! USE DIGITAL CAMERA IF AVAILABLE! 10) Unplug Wiper Motor. 11) Undo Nut and Remove wiper linkage from motor 12) Remove mounting screws and remove motor. It may be possible to change the motor without removing the wiper box, but it doesn't take that long to remove, and its a very awkward reach from any direction. HINT: With the wiper box out, the spark plugs, wires, and oxygen sensor are all easily accessible.

How can you diagnose a wiper motor problem or a wiper switch problem in a 1993 jeep wrangler yj?

You have forgotten two other possibilities. The relay and the fuse. Start by checking the fuse. If it's bad replace it. If good then find the positive side of the motor and jump it directly to the positive side of the battery. If the motor runs then you know the problem is the switch or relay. If it doesn't then the motor is at fault. To check the relay remove it from the panel. Most yj's had a relay panel box under the hood that housed the horn, wiper, fuel, headlight, and other relays. The wiper relay should be marked. Look under the relay for its number and circuit diagram. Compare it to the other relays. Most times you will find the headlight relay or fuel relay is the same. Try one in the wiper socket. If it works then replace the relay. If it doesn't then all that is left is the switch. If the switch is part of the steering column then checking it will involve removing the steering wheel. Best to let a Jeep Tech. do this especially if there is an air bag involved. Special tools needed. However if the switch is assessable then simply place a jump wire across the terminals to test. Good Luck and let me know how you make out.M.Last minute though !Don't forget to check any ground wires for the motor.

How do you wire a 6 volt positive ground system?

Positive Cable from Battery to ground location on frame Negative to Starter Use #2 guage cable for best results Answer No. 2 You don't wire positive ground. Wire negative ground and you will forever be thankful. With a positive ground car everything, like a radio, elect fuel pump, elect fan or anything you add will have to be isolated because everything is made negative ground. You can't wire stuff made negative ground to a positive ground you get the shorts.

How do you replace a windshield wiper motor on a 1993 Mercedes 190E?

After 1985, the wiper is a panoramic style - one big wiper. The motor assembly is located under the air intake grille, below the wiper. Remove the wiper arm - small plastic cover, bolt(s) underneath, slide off arm. Then undo the bolts/screws holding the grille on, some of which are UNDER the rubber surround - lift it up to expose them. There is an electrical connector box - disconnect this. There is a bracket that supports the wiper assembly, undo one bolt, then it should slide out/down into the heater air intake (below the wiper assembly) and then UP and out. At this point, its best to find a working one from an auto wrecker - the motor etc. from Mercedes is rather expensive!

How do you fix your windshield wiper motor on your 94 95 98 Saturn SC1 or SL1?

If the problem is truly the wiper motor, the best way to deal with it is to simply replace it. A new motor is probably less expensive and less frustration than trying to disassemble the old one and resolve the problem. To remove the wiper motor:first remove the wiper arms. There should be a little tab at the base of the wiper arm, pull that (more accurately pry it) away from the wiper arm shaft and the arm should be relatively easy to remove.Remove the black cowling from which the wiper arm shaft is protruding. There should be about 4 screws, as well as the two side pieces that also have a couple screws.Once the cowling is removed, you should be able to get to the wiper motor assembly. Make sure that you have a good idea where everything fits, and the position of the wiper arm linkage so you can put the new one back in the same position. It's a relatively simple job; it just seems more difficult than it really is.
