There are two ways, both work on skin, only the second will work on clothing or other material:
- The old onions smell trick - to take smells off skin, wash with a piece of stainless steel. there are manufacturers who make soap shaped blocks of stainless steel for this purpose, however, it is just as easy to use the handle of an all stainless butter knife. Simply wash your hands or the affected area with the handle of the knife much as you might rub a bar of soap over the area. This will take most odors off skin.
- Now this might sound strange, but it is totally serious: Use Massengill Douche product. The regular disposable product. This is not an endorsement of a product in the way of spam, no other product will do what this one does. It will remove skunk scent from an animal and clothes, it will remove the smell of mouse nest from the vents of an auto. This is from personal experience. Simply wash with it as you would a liquid soap, let it sit on the affected area for a minute or so, and rinse. It may take two to three applications, but it will work better than any other product.
