∙ 9y agoThe Cambodian genocide took place from 1975 to 1979. Somewhere between 1.5 million and 3 million people were murdered by the Khmer Rouge regime. The goal of the regime was to create an agrarian society.

The Cambodian genocide started when the prime minster Pol Pots wanted to cleanse Cambodia of all impurities.
The Khmer Rouge came to power form 1975 to 1979.
Approximately 2 million died.(21% of Cambodia's population.)
Pol Pots and the Khmer Rogue were overthrown by Vietnam when the invaded its capital city Kampuchea.
