After the death of Prophet Sulaiman (Solomon) (peace be upon him) his kingdom was dismembered. There was virtually the rule of Satan all around. The religious people were mocked at. The ruler of Somaria killed a large number of learned people. When the evil reached the saturation point, God sent the Prophet Ilyas (Elijah) (peace be upon him) to reform mankind during the reign of the king Ahab of Israel. He tried his best to save the people from polytheism. And Zachariah and John and Jesus and Ilyas all in the ranks of the righteous; and Ismail and Elisha (Al-Yasa) and Jonas and Lot; each have We preferred above the nations. (To them) and their fathers and progeny and brethren, We chose them and We guided them to a straight way. (6: 85-87)

What two classes did Suleiman allow Muslims to be?

The question is not clear. Who was Suleiman? Hazrat suleiman (AS), the Prophet? Suleiman bin-Abdul Malik? Suleiman Al-Qanuni?Anyhow, No human being -right from Hazrat Adam (AS) to the last Prophet Muhammad (May peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has the Authority to 'allow', 'divide' or 'constitute' any classes in Islam. Islam is the only ONE religion preached by all the Prophets (May peace be upon them). Even if the Muslims are divided into 73 sects, only ONE of them will enjoy the pleasure of Almighty Allah- the sect that follows the holy Prophet Muhammad (May peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), his righteous Caliphs and his blessed Companions (RATU). (Al-Hadith). The religion of Islam is complete. No one can make amends in it, add anything to it, or delete anything from it. Anybody doing so refutes the holy Qur'an and the holy Prophet Muhammad (May peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

How did the death of Suleiman I lead to the decline of Islamic States?

Firstly, the question should be narrowed. While the Ottoman Empire declined after the death of Suleiman I, the Safavid Empire in Persia was only beginning to rise and the Mughal Empire in India had not even begun to form.As for the reason for the Ottoman Empire's decline, Suleiman I was the last Ottoman Emperor to care more about the state than the harem where he could indulge in pleasures of the flesh.
