US Air Force/Navy bombers remained for abit. When they left (and the NVA knew it) the NVA invaded the south with a combined tank/infantry assault. They successfully captured the south on 30 April '75.

after all the US troops left at the end of march 1973 , the south vietnamese forces were soon defeated then 2years later north vietnamese took over saigon ,Vietnam became a country united under communist rule /
