What happens when sodium hydroxide solution is added to calcium carbonate and then warmed?

CaCO3(s)+2NaOH(aq)--->Ca(OH)2(aq)+Na2CO3(aq) When you heat it later, the water in the solution evaporates leaving you with just the salts. Also, it is better to say, calcium carbonate is added to sodium hydroxide solution as you add a solid to a solution not really vice versa.

Will eating dried fruit hurt your dog?

It certainly can. We had an 11 year old female pug who ate approximately 10 ounces of dried apricots. She died 12 hours later. She was in good health prior to eating the apricots. She became very lethargic within 6 hours and vomited a little. Eventually the apricots caused a total shut down. Peoe should also never feed their dogs raisins (or grapes).
