I own a copy of the comprehensive 1965 - 1969 Chevrolet V-8 book, which breaks down just about everything imaginable on full-size Chevys. To answer your question, only vinyl was offered for the convertible. If you'd like a run-down on the color combos, as well, please say so.
what happens when cv joint breaks when you are driving on freeway
It will depend on whether it was an automatic or manual transmission. Then it would depend on what broke. If a clutch breaks you may see a lot of smoke and not be able to drive very fast. If a pump breaks then you may coast to a stop. If a linkage breaks then you may not be able to change gears OR you may have to select a different gear in order to drive at all. If a gear breaks then you may hear some very expensive sounds and see some pieces flying around.
sounds like your rotors need to be turned or cut
a vibrating transmission could be caused by a bad transmission mount. If the mount breaks then the transmission will physically move causing it to vibrate.
