The best remover of glues that I have used is lighter fluid for Zippo lighters. === === There are many solvents available at your local auto parts supply store which work, BUT the most important step to make any solvent work much better is to break the weather resistant surface seal of the sticker by the use of sandpaper. Be careful to sand only the decal or sticker, not the metal surface! The breaking of the weather resistant surface of the decal or sticker will allow much better penetration of whichever solvent is used, and thus shorten the time required to remove the sticker. === === An 80 year old lady told me this trick, and it works. Once you have the sticker/decal peeled off, use eucalyptus oil to remove the sticky residue left behind.

Yes, some decals can be made of vinyl. Additionally, labels and decals can be made from static cling, adhesive or pressure-sensitive materials.

How do you get decals off walls?

Decals come standard with adhesive and this is designed to stick to your surface. Different quality decals have different quality adhesives. Some are designed to be long lasting, others are repositionable and other for high traffic areas like laptops. The 3M vinyl decals are made with mini dots of glue and once you are happy with your positioning, you push the front of the decal and this pops the mini dots of glue and forms a strong bond with the surface, very clever.

How can I best approach my employee about removing family decals littering her workspace?

Beginning from one corner, slowly peel away the clear family decals. If any of the vinyl comes up, stop. Lay the family decals back down in that area, rub it and try again.

What other materials than vinyl can you use for decals on a car?

How do you remove the decals from your Geo Tracker?

Not the easiest thing to do, If they were new you could just peel them off but as they get old the adhesive becomes really hard to get off. Use a heat gun or blow drier to heat up the sticker ( not too close or too hot as you can damage the paint ) and when it is soft start peeling it back always moving the heat ahead of yourself. Lots of times there will be adhesive left behind on the paint after you are done so use some nail polish remover or some other solvent to rub the adhesive off ( it may take a little elbow grease ). Then wash and wax the area.
