Typically, the worst that might happen is you could damage the crankshaft seals and possibly pull oil into the combustion chamber... in an extreme case push oil into the intake.
But, if you've only added one or two extra quarts (or liters), you probably haven't caused any permanent damage. But it's still not good to run it that way very long. Just drain a little oil and make sure the level is somewhere between the lines on the dipstick.
too much oil in the engine will cause of airation and will create too much pressure to your engine and will damage the headgasket.
If you are talking about engine oil in a 4 stroke: the crankshaft beats in in to a foam which dos not lube the bearing very well. If you are talking about using too much mix oil in a 2 stroke: you run too lean and risk burning a piston.
Drain out the excess. Too much oil will damage the engine.
remove the oil plug from the bottom of the oil pan and catch with something. let drain for 20 minutes and place plug back in oil pan and tighten. add amount of oil recommended for your engine. start engine and let run for 2 minutes then shut off and check level on dip stick. Do not add too much oil, a little under wont hurt your engine but too much will. Fully synthetic oil recommended.
Too much oil in your car will not cause it to throw a rod. Too much oil in the engine will create a higher than normal engine pressure and can cause the engine seals to fail.
It'll get oily...
u will blow your engine oil seals, causing an oil leak and damage to the engine.
Too much oil can do serious damage to your engine. The excess oil will come in contact with the crankshaft creating a froth of oil mixed with air. This is a poor lubricant and will cause serious engine wear. Drain out the excess oil.
One of the ways to reduce friction in a car engine is to add an oil lubricant. The oil lubricant can be mineral or synthetic but they help the engine parts to move without too much ware. Another way would be to add an engine oil cooler.
putting too much oil in any engine is not good... the oil can over flow to your spark plug... that can cause stall..
It depends on how much over. A little won't hurt. Too much it will foam and not lubricate. Meaning your engine will wear out much faster than it should.
Anything over the full mark is too much.
