I think you shouldn't keep this as a secret to your friend tell her, "I really like this guy too, but i don't want to ruin our friendship because of this guy," and just see what she says. if she agrees, you should make small steps with this guy. just start out talking about something you both like, smile and wave. eventually it might turn into somethin.
