The ancient Inca civilization has shown us that advanced Native American civilizations existed before the arrival of Columbus. The high mountainous areas of the Incas has shown us that despite in-climate weather and geography, they were able to survive and flourish. The Incas had a famous city in what is now Peru. As an aside, the Incas and other Native American civilizations from the area of where Mexico is now and south of it, through Central America and South America, gold and silver were highly valued as it has been in the ancient Western world and to the present.
What puzzles amateur historians like myself, is why the Native American peoples of where Canada & the USA is, were more or less like nomads. This is not to disparage anyone. But amateurs wonder why gold and silver were not mined in California as example.
The Incas had an advanced civilization as evidenced by the ruins of their temples, fortresses, and their engineering skills that used precision in the buildings they constructed.
As a practical matter, The Incas are a great study, however they had no written language. Other than the usual results of studying the remains of their ruins, nothing has an impact on our society today.
From the fact that Inca ruins still stand today, we can infer that the Inca civilization had advanced engineering and construction techniques. It also suggests a high level of organization and planning in their society to create enduring structures. Additionally, it speaks to the cultural significance and impact of the Inca civilization that these ruins are still preserved and studied today.
Inca masks played a ceremonial and religious role in Inca society, representing deities, ancestors, and spirits. They were used in rituals, ceremonies, and performances to connect with the spiritual world. The masks were also a symbol of power and prestige for Inca rulers and elites.
European colonization destroyed the Inca civilization above the village level. Many of the villages of Peru are still organized as the Incas organized them.
The Inca people are thought to possibly have started as nomadic tribes. The civilization was mainly a non-nomadic and stationary society.
The capital of the Inca civilization was Cusco, located in modern-day Peru.
The Inca civilization still lives. They lost to the Spanish but there are still people of Inca descent.
No. The Inca did not have clowns. They didnt have the fabric or die to make the costumes. Different from today the Inca cared more about keeping the civilization sturdy instead of games telivision and entertainment.:)
