The results are devastating. The use could be bunker braking or building demolish. In the areas further down the impact zone, you could see people walking around like Zombies dazed as seen in the Iraq War.
They are set off on impact so when they hit the ground dropping from a plane they would explode.
The sand bags would lesson the impact of a bomb or missile blast due to the fact it absorbs much of the blast.

It really doesn't. What happens is that the bomb explodes on impact and the momentum causes the fluid to continue moving along the line of motion.

Difficult to give a simple answer, as there is more than one 1000 lb bomb. The basic Mk 83 "Dumb" bomb is ABOUT $1,700. However, they are sometimes outfitted with a high drag tail section, which will increase costs. They may also be fitted with guidance systems to convert them to the JDAMS "Smart" bomb- a precision guided weapon. THAT package adds about $21,000 to each bomb.

a nuclear one.
I think that after Chernobil The Russians would have developed ways to controll Nuclear waste and its affects on the environment. Maby because russia is so large the single atomic bomb wouldent affect the overall population.
the impact is very big. they are a thret to everyone and our scioty is not promoting them.
Nothing, unless your bullet makes sparks on the ground, or the bomb casing. Or unless it is an impact bomb. But if it is a nuclear bomb, then nothing really will happen. It depends a great deal on the type of bomb and what it is designed to do. In the majority of cases, nothing. In some, it could set the bomb off, particularly if it is crude and not well made. In the case of a nuclear bomb, chances are that nothing would occur, or you would have what is known as a secondary explosion, where there is a bang and the radioactive material is spread around, but it wouldn't result in a nuclear explosion.
