The treble clef I believe is played by violins, and I know that the bass clef is played by cellos. I am in an orchestra, and I play the cello. There could be some more instruments that I'm not fully aware of with these clefs, but violin and cello is what I know of.

French horn can play both clefs. Though they can play a little bit more in the treble.

Bass Clef:

Treble Clef:

  • Flute
  • Any soprano instrument
  • Clarinet
  • Trumpet
  • Oboe
  • Saxophone
  • Viola
