Ford axle code B6 is a ( Ford limited slip / traction - lok differential with a 3.73
ratio )
Open the drivers door and look for an information sticker on the end of the door It will have the axle code for your truck
I believe you can find the axle code on one of the stickers on the end of the drivers door - then the code is used to find out what differential gearing your F150 has
I'm not sure if this is the same on a 2007 , but axle code 26 for 1997 to 2004 F150 trucks is a 3.73 conventional axle
No, I have a 3.55 in mine, I think there is one lower than that, and then a 3.73, and then a 4.10. What the hell is a 27? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- " OILMAN " had submitted a list of axle codes for the 1997 - 2004 F150 / F250 and the list shows axle code 27 as being a 3.31 conventional differential
Open your drivers door and look at the information stickers , look for the axle code If you resubmit your question with the year of your F-150 and the axle code I'll try to look up the gear ratio - Helpfull
there should be an axle code or the door jam. Then you can call your local ford dealer and the can tell you, but some of the owner manuals had a list of the axle codes in them.
Open the drivers door and look for an information sticker , it should show the axle code ( 2 numbers or 1 letter and 1 number for the limited slip axle ) The code indicates whether you have a conventional axle or a limited slip axle and what the gear ratio is Submit another question with the axle code and I'll try to find it - Helpfull
For a 2001 F150, you can check the axle codes on your door sticker. The axle code to rear axle ratio values are as follows: 17 for 3.31 open differential, 19 for 3.55 open differential, H6 for 3.73 limited slip, H7 for 3.31 limited slip, and H9 for 3.55 limited slip.
The Axel code is on the drivers side door [On the post] it is stated on the sticker either a H9 which is a 3:55 ratio or an I9
Get a new door, or retainer latch.
I am not positive about this but, I believe that this indicates that the axle has a 3.00:1 gear ratio. Check with you local Ford dealer for a definitive answer.
I believe axle code " 18 " is a 3.08 conventional axle ( non limited slip )
