I am not sure what you mean by his genealogy. He was born in Hawaii in 1961 to a biracial couple. His mom was a white college student who was originally from Kansas and later Seattle, Washington and then Honolulu, Hawaii; her name was Stanley Ann Dunham. She was named for her father, but didn't like her first name and preferred to use "Ann." The future president's biological dad was Barack Obama (Senior), who came from Kenya to study at the University of Hawaii. Thus, young Barack was truly African-American.
