A genetic sequence (as defined by Galloway, 1989) is considered to be bounded by maximum flooding surfaces (MFS) as sequence boundaries. Please note that a major difference between all sequence stratigraphic model is "sequence boundary". MFS is used as a sequence boundary in a genetic sequence model, SU-sub aerial unconformity are used in a depositional sequence model, and composite surface is used in a T-R sequence model.

What sequence of bases determines an organisms?

The interpretation of the sequence of bases results in The Genetic Code. Translation of the sequence of bases using the Genetic Code results in the sequence-specific production of proteins.

Why do you sequence DNA?

for genetic purposes

What does the genetic code specify the correlation between?

The genetic code refers to the nucleotide triplets of DNA and RNA molecules that carry genetic information. It specifies the correlation between an RNA-nucleotide sequence, as well as an amino-acid sequence.

The sequence of what encodes DNA information?

The sequence of four nucleotide 'bases' found in an organism's DNA "provides" an Organism's genetic make-up.

What is the antonym for genetic material?

The protein sequence.

The genetic information is coded in DNA by the .?

sequence of the nucleotides

what is the genetic code stored in DNA is used to produce protein products?

The genetic code stored in DNA is the sequence of nitrogen bases. The sequence of nitrogen bases determines the sequence of amino acids in a protein, and the sequence of amino acids determines the structure and function of a protein.

What is genetic stability?

Genetic stability is defined as "a measure of the resistance to change of the sequence of genes within a DNA molecule." It also refers to this resistance of the nucleotide sequence within a gene.

What change in a DNA sequence that affects genetic information?

Any change in DNA sequence is called a mutation.

What are the Components of genetic code?

The genetic code is carried by the macromolecule DNA. In particular, the sequence of nitrogen bases on the DNA determines the genetic code.

The sequence of what carries genetic information as an organism?

nucleotides

What is the changes in a DNA sequence that affect genetic information?

Mutation
