According to the CIA World Factbook, Nigeria's population is estimated at around 170,123,000. The last census was in 2006, so the estimate is, well, an estimate. Nevertheless, 170 million people makes Nigeria the 7th largest country in the world (between Pakistan and Bangladesh), and the largest in Africa, ahead of Egypt and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
