Madame Tussauds, Buckingham Palace (open to visitors in the summer when the Queen is away on holiday in Scotland) , the Houses of parliament (open to the public during parliament sittings - you need to get in line very early to get a seat and its free), the science museum, the natural history museum, Imperial war Museum, The Victoria and Albert Museum (fine art) the British Museum (mauscripts like Shakespeares plays, Magna Carta etc and Egyptology), The Tate Gallery, The Tate Modern, The National Gallery, Trafalgar square, St paul's cathedral, wonderful parks (Hyde Park, Green Park, St James park), the Tower of London (including the Crown Jewels) London zoo, The theatres of the west end... the list goes on.
Take plenty of money as most attractions are expensive, but museums, art galleries, parliament, the parks are all free. Eat in pubs or fast-food outlets as they are less expensive than restaurants.
