To the best of my knowledge, it is located behind either the passenger side dashpad or behind the "information center" in the middle of the dash

How do you remove the dashboard in a 1993 Toyota Camry LE 4 cylinder?

You need to purchase or borrow a factory repair manual and follow it step by step to avoid breaking something that may not be able to be repaired short of replacement. Leaving any part of your dashpad or panels unsecured leads to improper fit and annoying rattles and vibration noises.

Will dash pad from 1968 Barracuda car fit 1969 Barracuda car?

Yes, 1967, 1968 and 1969 barracudas have the same dashpad, algo you could get a 1968-1969 dart GTS (only GTS) and also fit your application. Reference: Me (1969 barracuda owner) No a 1968 barracuda/dart dash pad is different then a 67 or 69.

Where is fuse box?

Hiya! Open the drivers door on your Chevy Beretta. Look at the side of the dashboard. You will see a plastic panel set in the dashpad. Yank that panel off. Underneath that are your fuses. The panel is held on by velcro so just pull off no tools needed. If the panel is missing you'll see the fuses straight away. Good Wrench.

Where is the heater fan located on a Renault megane?

hi this might help :the heater blower fan resistor is situated in the top of the air ducting behind glove box and pass airbag.Access to it requires removal of the top part of the dashpad and also part of the flexible demister ducting.May be a good idea to check the cabin filter for blockage(access from pass footwell)as this can cause resistor to overheat

Where is the automatic headlight sensor in a 1983 Lincoln Continental mark vi--is it not the hi-beam sensor behind the grille?

It's the same unit, and the cause of my headlights flickering when I drive under street lights. I disconnected it for this reason. Actually, the automatic headlight sensor (aka the "autolamp" sensor) is located under the dashpad. If you look toward the middle of the dashpad, near the base of the front windshield, you will see a small honeycomb pattern approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. The autolamp sensor is located directly below this (if you're trying to get to this sensor, you'll obviously have to remove the pad -- two screws in each defrost vent, one of each side, and several screws under the front lip -- pull the entire pad up and toward the back of the car and voila). Make sure to NEVER place anything over the autolamp sensor area, as it will block ambient light and activate the headlamps unnecessarily. There is also a high beam sensor located in the front grille. This sensor basically sees the headlights of oncoming cars and switches your headlights to low-beam accordingly. If you are having issues with it flickering under streetlights, my first suggestion would be to take a soft cloth and clean its lens very well. Then, use the right wing of the headlight switch to adjust the distance sensitivity. If you don't want it to work at all, turn it all the way toward the up position, then pull the high-beam switch stalk toward you to disengage the high beams. Otherwise, move the right wing of the headlight switch downward and it will increase the distance before the lights flick from high to low beam.

How do you take a dashboard off a 2004 Chevy Cavalier to install new radio?

remove 2 screws on the side of the dash, in between the door. remove screws holding the dash underneath the steering wheel. It might be 2 or 3, I can't remember completely. Disconnect the plug for the light dimmer. Pull dash panel out.

How do you remove a dashboard from a 1984 caprice classic?

I had an 85 Caprice and the knob to adjust the clock was broken off. The only way I could set the clock was to remove it, take it apart and move the hands. In order to get the clock out, the dash had to be removed. It is easy. You need a 7mm nut driver for the job. Lay on your back on the seat and look up under the lip. You do not need to remove all the screws but if you just look at them for a minute you should easily be able to determine which need to be removed. Sorry I don't remember how many, maybe 8 total. There is also another screw on each side so you have to open each door to get at them. The hardest are the screws in the defroster vents. There are two screws in each vent and although they are not difficult to remove, they are very easy to drop down the vent. I had no trouble removing them and did not drop any. Upon reinstall, I shoved a rag down to catch them if I dropped one and it paid off because I dropped a couple before I got them back in. The next year I just left all the screws out and never had a problem. Gravity seemed to hold it down just fine and it was easier to adjust the clock. As I usually suggest, take the time to go to a junkyard and practice taking off parts. You might even find a nice dashpad. vbd

How do you install the blower motor in a 88 VW cabriolet?

Unfortunately the heater box as a whole needs to be deinstalled. Even though you can see the motor from the engine compartment, it will not fit up and out of the cowl vent area...( I've tried twice...) If the car has A/C, its a bit more difficult. The non-A/C version is simpler, the flimsy plastic tray must carefully be removed from the cowl area under the hood. The radiator must be drained. There are two medium size hoses that run from the engine compartment through the firewall and to the heater core. You can find them and the clamps that hold them very near the gas pedal. Its a good idea to just cut them and replace them with new ones so they don't fail later. If you want to reuse the ones you've got, you must be VERY careful to loosen the hose from the pipe that goes inside it after you loosen the clamp. Sometimes I resort to using a small screwdriver to slide between the hose and pipe to break the friction of years of attachment. You will also need to deinstall the radio to access the two screws that hold the heater control mechanism in place. The fan knob and vent/heat control knobs just pull straight out of the dash. There is also a pair of wiring plugs above the gas pedal that must be disconnected. (yellow, brown, and white wires?) There is a plastic bracket between the dashpad and the heater unit that has one screw through it. There are 4 screws with 8mm heads under the hood near the fan motor itself that are probably obscured with sealant. They hold the heater unit in place. I've found that a 1/4" drive ratchet, short extension, and short socket work best for removing these screws. the unit will likely be held in place by the sealant around the mounting flange after you remove all the screws. When you dislodge it, be careful of the control tab on the bottom of the unit that opens and closes the floor heat flapper, its easy to break it off. The blower motor itself is held in the heater unit by only one screw. Reinstallation is mostly just the reversal of the procedure. You will need to apply some sort of sealant to the mounting flange to keep water from getting into the car after your done. I often use weatherstripping ribbon that you might get from a home improvement or hardware store. If your car has the knee bar/ tray under the dash... you should try to find a Bentley Manual to follow the removal procedure. I have found that you have to disassemble a major portion of the dash to access the mounting screws for the kneebar.
