Respiration Make 36-38 ATP
Oxygen Present
Fermentation
Oxygen absent
Make 2 ATP
one uses oxygen to get energy and the other uses yeast!
fermentation is entirely anaerobic wheras cellular respiration only has 1 out of 3 stages that is anaerobic, the other 2 being aerobic (need oxygen to carry out rweactions. from this you can tell what anaerobic must mean:) i hope this helps:D
Fermentation occurs when oxygen is not available to the plant. It is less productive, and produces toxic byproducts, but is effective as a temporary solution to keep the plant alive when it lacks oxygen.
Cellular respiration uses oxygen as the final electron acceptor. This process produces a net of 36 ATP from each glucose molecule. Fermentation uses no oxygen and nets only 2ATP.
cellular respiration uses oxygen but fermentation does not use oxygen
Respiration requires oxygen to obtain energy from glucose. Fermentation does not need oxygen to obtain energy from glucose. You use respiration. Yeasts use fermentation.
respiration uses oxygen
Question ispartiallywrong as fermentation is part of cellular respiration, question should be about similarities and differences in aerobic and anaerobic respiration. Cellular respiration is comprised of 3 stages , 1 glycolysis , 2 Krebs cycle and 3 electron transport chain .Fermentation is approximately similar to glycolysis except last step .
That it have cell
cellular respiration uses oxygen but fermentation does not use oxygen
Respiration uses oxygen, fermentation doesn't.
callular respiration breaks down food with oxygen and fermentation breaks down food with out using oxygen
Respiration requires oxygen to obtain energy from glucose. Fermentation does not need oxygen to obtain energy from glucose. You use respiration. Yeasts use fermentation.
respiration uses oxygen
Capable of switching to fermentation
Their starting compound are different because fermentation takes in 2NAD+ and 2ADP molecules and changes them into 2NADH and 2ATP and 2 pyruvic acid molecules, while cellular respiration takes in electrons through electron carriers. What was this guy thinking when he made this answer....
no
Cellular respiration:it's what happens under aerobic conditions. Which simply means when oxygen is present.Fermentation: Fermentation on the other hand is what happened and anaerobic conditions (when oxygen is not present).
