Well it's certainly a good deed! I often help the elderly across busy intersections (our traffic doesn't recognize crosswalks!) You have to approach the elderly very gently (some are hearing impaired or a little befuddled) and gently touch their arm and ask if they need help. Some will say they are fine (walk behind or along side of them to be sure they get across the road safely without saying a word to them) and some will be very thankfully for your courtesy.
That would be a good "deed."
