A malfunctioning coil pack can cause your 2001 Pontiac Grand Am to backfire. The more likely cause is a faulty fuel injector.
May be coil pack
part of your coil pack could be bad or your ignition control module could be bad it just bolts right on top of your coil pack
Depends on which motor you have. For the 3.1L and 3100 V6 it is bolted to the firewall side of the engine block. For the 2.5 I believe it is on the bottom of the DIS ignition module/ coil pack.
The coil pack for a 1992 grand am is under the cover that has quad 4 written on it, be careful not to let anything drop into the valley when the cover is pulled off. The coil pack is white and there are 4 black rubber boots that act as the spark plug wires.
(2.4L) pretty sure it's ontop of the engine I think 4 bolts hold it in place under the coil pack are the spark plugs
a There are coil "pack" for ignition. 6" pack" carburetors.
1 3 5 2 4 6
1999 Alero how do i test ignition coil pack
There is no coil wire. There is a coil pack and connected to the coil pack is the ignition control module.
it doesnt have a distributor cap. it has a coil pack AND...the coil packs are located under the cover on top of the engine.
There is no dis. cap. GM uses a ignition module and coil pack that sits on top of module. Quad 4 eng. is basicly the same, just a different configuration.
